A new software update is now available!

We are excited to announce that we have been working closely with the MapMyFitness team to bring seamless uploads to the MapMyRun service from your Leikr device.

With the latest software, uploading your workouts to MapMyRun will occur automatically during every Wi-Fi sync!
To begin using make sure you revisit the configure section at Leikr.com and connect to your MapMyFitness account.

Along with this new feature, we also improved the reliability of WLAN connections and corrected some minor bugs.

We are looking forward to your feedback!
Thanks!
The Leikr Team

Another day, another run.
As always I had the Leikr on my left hand and my Garmin Fenix2 on my right hand.
The Leikr is running the latest software 1.9.27.

Today's workout was an out and back run with clear views of the sky.

The Leikr recorded 4.85miles, the Garmin 4.83miles.
Looking through the graphs, the pace plot of the Leikr is a lot more jagged when compared to the Garmin.
As always the elevation plot from the Leikr is not representative.

Here are the links to the data.

Very jagged pace reading here also.

I am very happy with my new watch :)

Ran 10km today and saw loads of jagging. The distance was off by 500m out of 10km, not a great result.

Today (May 4th), I strapped on my Leikr and Garmin watches for a marathon.

As always, auto-lap was on and auto-pause was off.
The event was on a road course with clear views of the sky until the very end (maybe 0.2miles).
The Leikr was on my left hand and the Garmin fenix2 on my right.
Both watches were connected to my HRM.
The elevation plot from the Leikr is not representative.

After the 18mile point on the Leikr things went haywire . A quick look at the gps plots via the link below shows what went on.
I am not sure what happened and any insights you can share would be appreciated.

GPS Data.

Many thanks.

I'm still getting mixed experiences with the GPS fix. How come Leikr has to use up to 5 minutes (sometimes only 20 seconds), when my phone can get a GPS fix in 2 seconds? Also, when it does have a GPS fix, the distance is usually quite accurate, but the overall tempo is way off. Just look at the example above - the Garmin-curve is much more smooth.

@skywalker you can read this:

http://fellrnr.com/wiki/GPS_Accuracy

gives you a good starting point about GPS Accuracy. Showing a smooth route has it's downsites, because this is not done cause of better GPS Signal it's done with post process only. It's not really possible to get the current speed with GPS (not at all when walking, works somehow when running fast, work's good on biking).

Leikr already applies quite much smoothing, they changed that a lot during software update. I'm somehow even more unhappy with that because they also use WAAS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide_Area_ ... ion_System) quite excessive which leeds to real problems when doing mountain related sports, because after correcting the elevation with the GPS Points it's really bad if you track looks smooth but is of by 50 meters because then your up or down the mountain ;-). So when I do mountain sports i do the following: From time to time I stop the activity change the sport to "indoor running", wait for a few seconds and set it back to hiking (or running). Than the WAAS correction is reset and the GPS is spot on again.

See problem:

The distance calculation should be smoothed but not the GPS Points, I would like this more.

@Leikr Team: Please provide a sport profile (e.g. Hiking, Mountain Bike) where the height is visible, i really need this!
