Strava Sync Stopped Working

Hi,

Very odd, yesterday after commuting home, synchronisation with Strava suddenly hung. I had to cancel synchronisation in order to continue.

Synchronisation with MapMyFitness (which happens before Strava) worked okay.

Nothing I did would allow synchronisation to work. I eventually decided to delete yesterdays activity.

After commuting in this morning, I have the same problem - watch hangs while synchronising with Strava, but MapMyFitness was okay.

As far as I can tell, Strava have no general upload problems.

Can anyone suggest what might have suddenly changed - watch has been synchronising perfectly well for a very long time.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

Hi again,

Still having problems.

Isn't there a timeout on synchronisation? It really isn't good for the whole synchronisation process to hang, just because one of the account providers isn't working correctly.

What do you recommend to overcome the problem?

Dear Neal,
as we know since last Friday apparently at Strava they are making some changes to the API, we are taking action to understand how they are going to fix this.
Meanwhile, if you disconnect Strava (which hangs) you would be able to upload to Endomondo.

Well done, STRAVA sync is back on track.
All the stand by files have been transfered yesterday, Januray 13th, 15.
