Leikr mechanics are designed to be used in the ruogh weather and in water. As we progress with the development and with the stability of our production we believe that our current IPX level is IPX-6: hence the watch is currently water-resistant.
Our goal for this product is to be capable of IPX-8 which means a fully water-proof watch.
We are working diligently towards that goal.
The main area of focus for us to obtain this level is the gluing process of the back plate.

Is it possible for me as a kickstarter supporter to wait for the future IPX8 version? I don't really care too much about delivery time.

Same here, I am also not too concerned on the delivery date. If I could get a bug free watch wit ipx 8, I would love that, even with some delays in delivery...

Is there any updates with regards to the goal of IPX-8; is it still to be expected, and what would an indication of a time frame be?

Has anything changed here. Since I asked last year, any updates with regards to the goal of IPX-8; is it still to be expected, and what would an indication of a time frame be?

Dear Jakob,
we are still working on improving the assembly and reach IPX-8. However unfortunately we still not have any time frame.

Hi, There haven't been an updates on this topic since 2013. Is it likely that the watch will become IPX-8 in the near future ?
