Dear all,

A few months ago a used Leikr watch was donated to me . The battery only lasted a bit over two hours. So i decided to modify the watch so new battery would fit.
With the new battery i switched on watch and kept it with me with backlight on for 6.5 hours and only one stripe of powermeter was gone. :D

Removed cover and placed new battery

Cut out part of cover with lasercutter, but carefully with sharp knife wil work to. Printed new part for the backcover on my 3D printer that fits into the cutout part. This was needed to fit the 800mah battery that is slightly higher.

the proof of the extended battery life :D :D :D :D , as i said 6.5 hours ligt on and gps with map. :D :D

That's awesome! Well done I'd love to do that also and use it as a watch, monitor my heart rate all day and pedometer etc.

How did you snapped it opened? What was the original battery capacity? I might try this at home. Looks easy and I have a 3D printer to do it as well. I wonder if we can find a ring that will make the watch waterproof again.

330mAh. Ok, so you basically went a little over 2times the original battery.

If you can share what battery you bought exactly, that'd be great.

The numbers on the battery are dimensions of battery. so 603040 means 6mm high 40 mm long and width = 30mm
if you look for polymer Lythium on aliexpress.com you can search on various dimensions.

PDM, what code/dimensions had the original battery? (I wonder whether the 330 mAh battery can be swapped against a one with a higher capacity but the same size, that is without modifications of the back.)
Thanks.

Hi Ondra,
Changing without modification not realistic. I don't know the exact dimensions but the original battery was 3 or 3.2 mm high

Peter

pdm- I purchased the extended battery you referenced, and installed it into my Leikr. Now I need a modified backplate like the one you made. Is there any way I could pay you to make one for me? I don't have access to any of the tools required.
