ANT+ sensors "rejected"

ANT+ sensors "rejected"

Postby FBr » Sat Aug 30, 2014 10:46 am

Good day,

For the second time since the last sofware was introduced (1.10.28 on 2014-06-16) my HRM sensor has been "rejected" by the device.
Workout starts normaly: HRM is reconized automatically.
Then during the workout the HR is not shown anymore.
When going to the menu to check the sensor is still registered.

I tried 3 things:

The 1st one not working: unpair the HRM and then re pair it. It is then not reconized.
The 2nd one not working: turn off and then on the device. The HRM is not reconized anymore.

The only viable solution found is to: 1- Unpair the HRM, 2- Turn off the device, 3- Turn on the device, 4- Pair the HRM.
Each times the battery is OK on both device and HRM.

Despite the fact that it is not convenient, does anybody experimented the same trouble?

Regards.

Yes, I'm having the same trouble. HRM pairs when Leikr initially turned on, then Leikr stops receiving data from HRM once I start my workout. Fresh battery in HRM, fully charged battery in Leikr.
I emailed team Leikr about it, they suggested it might be the wi-fi signal interfering with the ANT+ signal. I thought it might be unnecesary to have the wi-fi enabled when working out, that it should only turn on when Leikr is initialized so it can look for the GPS assist, then turn off again until the user conducts a sync at the end of the workout.

Dear both,
thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We are testing and working on a solution. We should be able to deliver it pretty soon.

Dear LEIKR,

Please be aware that the "ANT+ sensors rejection" is still valid on the 1.10.31 last software version.
HRM was rejected during my last hike after roughly 30/40 minutes.

Dear LEIKR,

Please note that, since the last update (SW 1.11.32) my Heart Rate Monitor is nearly rejected one in two training.
Sometimes it reconnected by itself after few minutes, sometimes I have to turn off/on the LEIKR.

I changed by two times the battery in order to check.
It happens both out and indoor.

Dear LEIKR,

As an information's complement, Please note that it seems that the HRM monitor is rejected when the LEIKR device is locking on satellites.
It happens several times at that precise moment.
Therefore it also happens when training indoor with the GPS off.

Dear LEIKR,

One more time (After a quite long period of free mind), the HRM sensor was rejected.
I had to repair it with the device.

To ensure I checked that the sensor was runing with another device wich was OK.

Therefore, due to the fact that I had two HRM "registered" onto the leikr, I removed one in order to check if the problem is still standing.

I will keep you posted.

Dear LEIKR,

Here is an update onto the HRM sensor "rejection".

For the 1st time I had the issue riding (Initially it hapened only at the gym).
Both sensors (HRM and cadence/speed) were rejected at the same time.

I, initially, thought that the sensor might the problem, but, the two being rejected at the same time, it seems that the issue is coming from the LEIKR device.

Turning off and then on the LEIKR was sufficient to go back on track.

Regards.
