Stuck on 'Connecting to Leikr server'

I have just completed a workout and kicked off a sync with my Wifi, same as I've done a couple of hundred times. However this time it has become stuck on the 'Connecting to Leikr server' stage, and has been for the last 20 minutes. It does not respond to cancel, turn off, sync or even light commands. The clock is stuck at 08:04, which is when I began the sync. The satellite status just shows 'Zz'.

Any ideas? Do I just have to wait for the battery to give out?

After reading another thread on this forum I found a suggestion to hold the power-off buttons down for about 10 seconds, and that forced the watch to restart. I've now been able to sync successfully.
