@Cris: ok, I'll take a look to see if the pace goes to --.--. I did it a couple of times and I could see that happening. Maybe it disengages too soon? When I paused was to drink water, tie my shoe, refill the bottle, etc, so I moved around the same spot (although not at run pace, of course).

Another run and another report.

I had the Garmin 910XT and the Leikr both guiding me through a workout.
There was no auto-pause, weather conditions were cloudy but both watches had clear view of the sky.
I did not pay particular attention to the acquisition time as I use that time to limber up and get ready.

The Garmin logged a total of 9.85miles, the Leikr 10.46miles.
I felt the Leikr buzzing around 8.6miles when the GPS count dropped to 3 (I think) - again it had clear view of the sky. I recall seeing pace readings between 1.3mins/mile and 3.5mins/mile.

Review the workout data showed the Leikr going off track between 8.5miles and 9.2miles, 9.96miles and the end of the workout, where it is completely off track - I started and finished at the same place.
In general, the Leikr tracks are noisy when compared to that from the Garmin.

Many thanks.
Dr. D.

@Cris: This morning I turned on and off the watch 5 times without the clock appearing at the bottom of the screen :-(
I was able to synchronize over WiFi but the clock never showed and it didn't help to enter the menu as you suggested.
The last time I just kept the watch running, entered my car and drove app 20 minutes before starting my run out in the woods "Albertslund/Vestskoven" and here the Leikr did very well (it started with 8 sats locked).

Leikr - 12.13km - http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/269720055/1443163
Forerunner (worn by my friend so I don't have a track/link) - 12.03km

So only 100m difference! Nice... but the software on the watch still feels unstable as the clock did not show up at home.
And please do something about that the watch can be powered off by pressing the two buttons at the top. I'm afraid of touching the watch (especially zooming) when I'm running because it's so easy to accidentally turn the watch off.

I just noticed that with Endomondo the Garmin plugin also shows the Leikr. I didn't try it out, because I already uploaded yesterday's track from my Leikr while stretching in front of the house :-). Did the Garmin plugin support the Leikr all the time or is this a new feature? I don't remember that I had both my Forerunner and the Leikr connected to my computer at the same time.

Best,
Stephan

Dear stylon,

The Garmin Communicator plugin scans the operation system for all assigned external mass storage devices.
Because Leikr is registered as a mass storage device after connecting to the USB craddle, I assume, that's the reason, why Garmin Communicator is listening Leikr as import device. But it won't find any workouts, because the leikr mass storage drive is empty.
Besides the Garmin Communicator proves the vendor and product ids, so normally, it will not support/import any third party devices, because PID and VID is not supported by Garmin.
